Mavericks Steak & Cocktails
A new choice in downtown Watertown, SD! Mavericks Steak and Cocktails opened in September 2020 and is located in the historic Goss Opera House. They are proud to be part of an award winning restaurant group that began in Aberdeen, SD in 1999. The restaurant offers unique entrees, locally sourced food choices, and a wide range of signature cocktails. Events held at the Goss Opera House are catered in house with our team of exceptional banquet staff. The dining space creates a lively atmosphere, complete with wrap around bar area, open tables, and cozy booths.

We had Savannah as our waitress and she was stellar! We had a table of 8, our drinks were never empty, our food order was spot on, and the food was delicious. Fantastic night all around.
We brought the whole family. The barber down the street suggested it to me about 2 months ago. We are sure glad we decided to drive down from Waubay. We enjoyed our food and they had a wide variety of choices. Service was very good. We got seated promptly too. We had the prime rib, tortellini and steak with shrimp. Finished that off with a shared serving of the fudge brownie with ice cream. We look forward to a return trip.
Was great food, one of the best in Watertown SD! Walleye appetizers, delicious. Steak done perfectly!
This is the best steak I have had in a long time. I got the 16 oz wet aged ribeye with bluecheese butter and mushrooms. The steak was cooked perfectly and was very tender. The bluecheese butter was a great complement to the wet aged ribeye. I will be coming back again!
An overall lovely experience. Our server was excellent and patient, the ambience was fun (but not too loud), and the food was delicious! I had the chicken strips, and they are the best I’ve ever had. Super flavorful and cooked well. The manager is on top of things and friendly, and everything is clean and efficient. I’ll be going again soon!
